About Delivery

Deliveries of EuroCave products are made for us by an independent national home delivery specialist. Once your order is ready for delivery and has been paid for, we will book your delivery for a particular day of the week. The delivery vans (7.5 tonne, 6 wheel base, 9 metres long) are only in certain areas of the country on certain days of the week. Deliveries start at 7:00am. Please note that because each order puts different demands on our delivery and installation service we are unable to commit to a specific delivery time on the day of delivery. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed, but if you have not done so when placing the order and if you would like to reserve the first delivery of the day 7-8am (subject to availability) there will be an additional delivery charge of £50.00. The vans make 11-12 deliveries in one day and therefore the timing of your delivery is dependent on the location of other deliveries on that day, the time taken to carry out each delivery and traffic.

Please do not sign a delivery note until you are completely satisfied that the unit(s) delivered and the delivery has been carried out without fault. Goods signed for unchecked will be deemed to be in good condition and without aesthetic fault. (This does not apply to the function of the cabinet).

The day before your booked delivery you can call us to find out your place on the delivery run. We can then give you a 3 hour window during which we would expect the delivery to be made. On the day of delivery, whilst waiting for your delivery, you are welcome to call us from 9.30am asking us to call the driver and discuss his ETA. We can arrange for the driver to call you 1hr before arrival.

Please note the following points about delivery:

  1. Delivery charge for all cabinets starts at £90.00 inc. VAT to a ground floor location within mainland England. Supplements apply for Scotland, Western/Northern Wales and for deliveries involving a flight(s) of stairs. Stainless steel and wooden cabinets incur additional charges (please see our full price list).
  2. Unless you have already informed us otherwise, delivery will be made to a ground floor location free of access steps or obstructions. We will not deliver large cabinets up or down flights of stairs unless you have told us in advance, an access check has been made (if deemed necessary by us) and you have paid a delivery supplement of £100.00. A large cabinet is heavy, bigger than a domestic fridge and may require extra people to carry it.
  3. We will charge £100 + VAT to reschedule a failed standard ground floor delivery of any cabinet where you cancelled without 72 hours notice or had no one available to receive the delivery. Where the location involved stairs, many steps or obstructions the reschedule charge will be £200 + VAT.
  4. If you cancel your order after a first failed delivery or because you did not give us 72 hours notice, there will be a cancellation charge of £100 + VAT.
  5. Please note the size and dimensions of the unit you have ordered and ensure that it will fit in the designated room and through any passages, stairwells, landings and doorways on the way to the destination room. We not accept responsibility for any item that will not fit into its intended location.
  6. We will make a delivery arrangement with you at the time of your order (if the item is in stock) or when your order arrives in our warehouse (if the item is a longer longer lead time factory order).  We will hold your unit in our warehouse free of charge for 21 days from the date we contact you to arrange delivery. If (for reason other than our default) you have not taken delivery within that 21 days we will charge a storage fee of £7.50 for each week or part of a week thereafter until delivery is made.
  7. Removal of customers old unit of any brand (including environmental disposal charge) £90.00 inc. VAT.

Please do not sign a delivery note until you are completely satisfied that the unit(s) delivered and the delivery has been carried out without fault.

If you have any problems during the delivery please call us directly. We cannot accept any claims for loss, damage or shortcoming that should be apparent on delivery if you have acknowledged receipt on the delivery note, and NOT noted any issues on it. If a third party receives a delivery on your behalf, they agree to accept the same level of responsibility for the goods.
